Public Sector Salary Surveys
Public sector employers are subject to the Freedom of Information Act and open records requests, which makes an abundance of inexpensive data available. Many muncipal associations create employer reported salary surveys and many news sources provide a comprehensive list of searchable salary data. While one should be mindful of anti-trust rules, a lot of data public sector data is available, and is often consolidated by municipal associations for participants. Privacte sector salary surveys are abundant, but they are generally expensive for participants and can be downright unaffordable for non-participants. There are a few surveys that can be obtained at no charge for both participants and non-participants, listed below:
